Chris Molloy - Founder & Lead Clinician

Chris, the driving force behind Recovery St, brings a unique blend of expertise, personal experience, and a passion for community well-being.

Credentials:

  • Master of Arts (Drama), University of Auckland

  • BA PSA (Acting), Unitec

  • Addictions Practitioner, DAPAANZ

A Personal Journey:

Growing up in a small Bay of Plenty town, Chris witnessed the profound impact of the closure of the forestry industry on his community. His own journey through drama, education, and personal struggles with addiction led him to a turning point.

Facing the challenges of debilitating mental health and severe addiction, Chris found hope and healing through intensive residential rehabilitation. Now, 6.5 years clean, he dedicates his life to serving others on their path to recovery.

Recovery Street stands at the intersection of lived experience, clinical knowledge, and creative arts.
